Back in August, it was my privilege to photograph Jennifer & Darren's wedding at Langley Castle Hotel.
This was a wedding that really crossed continents. Jennifer is an English lady, but Darren hails from South Africa, and brought his family and friends over from their home country. Probably the only time the South African and Northumbrian flags have been seen over Langley Castle!
For some of them, this was the first time they'd been to the UK and, even though they arrived in the middle of our summer, I think they found it a wee bit parky!! Hey, its their summer in August as well….but they have August temperatures over 30 degrees!!
Jennifer & Darren went full out for a vintage '50's feel, from Jennifer's incredible "Rock 'n' Roll" bride and bridesmaids dresses to the evening entertainment - The Baldy Holly Band!! There was a host of other vintage touches, from bunting on Langley's gazebo to Union Jacks festooning the fab cake. Look out for the t-shirt suit too!
Oh yeah, and check out the "bridesman" (plus 3 gorgeous slightly more usual bridesmaids) and a "best woman"…….plus yet another best man with hair longer than mine!! Blimey, I can't be coming back into fashion, can I??
Thanks Jen & Darren for allowing me to be part of your fabulous day…..I won't forget this one in a hurry.
