Towards the end of last year, I had the pleasure of working with two great couples, both of them getting married at the fantastic Brinkburn Priory. For those of you who don't know Brinkburn, it's one of the North East's newest & quirkiest venues - have a look at their website to see what I mean!!

Anyway, the first wedding was Rebecca & Damian's. Despite the fact we were in October, the weather was extremely kind - we were even treated to a wee bit of autumn sun in the afternoon! Their fab autumn colour scheme included lots of lovely homemade details (luckily the orange umbrellas weren’t need on the day).
After their civil ceremony in the White Room, we went across to the superb and imposing 12th century priory for a wedding blessing. Check out the interior shots - who needs Westminster Abbey? So nice to reflect two completely different aspects of modern wedding ceremonies; a contemporary and cool part plus a gorgeous traditional one.
After the ceremonies, it was party time! The guests enjoyed drinks and canapés on the terrace outside The Stables, whilst Becky, Damian and our "bride removal team" (the amazing bridesmaids!) went back over to the priory for some speedy portrait shots.
Becky & Damian were a joy to photograph, with their exuberant personalities and deep love for each other coming over in buckets from my photos.
After this, a few shots of family groups back at The Stables, then the wedding party enjoyed their wedding breakfast, followed by speeches and dancing into the night…. oh yeah, and a few late night sparklers!!
Thank you Becky & Damian for allowing me to be part of your day!!
